Learning by building.

These dates and topics come from documented completed lessons. Further sessions and attendance will be published once verified.

  1. Lesson 01 / Completed

    Electricity and circuits

    Explore current and resistance, and assemble an LED circuit using electronic components.

Exact student attendance and kit handoffs are still being reconciled before we publish totals.

A few parts.

These are the parts named in our documented blinking-LED lesson. The fall 2026 fee includes a take-home starter kit; this is not a complete kit inventory.

Example sketchblink.ino
// Your first blinking LED.
void setup() {
  pinMode(13, OUTPUT);
}

void loop() {
  digitalWrite(13, HIGH);
  delay(500);
  digitalWrite(13, LOW);
  delay(500);
}

500 ms on. 500 ms off. This example switches an LED on and off repeatedly.

What have students learned so far?

Our first two online Arduino lessons covered current, resistance, and LED circuits, followed by Arduino IDE programming and a blinking-LED project.

Do students need electronics experience?

No previous electronics experience is required. This beginner class is for students in grades 6–9.
